My whole life, I have been fascinated by science and enamored by stars. This has been reflected in my music. But now I am stepping into science fiction authorship.
Science fiction, as a genre, is more than an imagining of future technology or space exploration. It serves as a commentary on contemporary events, warn of societal dangers, but most critically, it explores the fundamental question of what it means to be human.
Starclysm is going to be a collection of short stories, vingettes, novels, and multi-book series if successful. I aim to collaborate with artists on visual vingettes and animations. My longer stories will be structured for easy adaptation to screenplays, as well, but that's a contingency way down the road.
My current project is Axy Stormforge - an original character who answers her call to adventure only to discover evils beyond comprehension, and faces a life-changing question: What do you do when evil becomes order?
I began the project as a freewriting exercise. Those original chapters are free to read on my dedicated Starclysm website. It is mostly worldbuilding and character introductions. I am now rewriting from the beginning, but starting with a strongly structured plot full of story threads that weave together a vastly more coherant story. I'll be doing my best to update work in progress on social media. In the meantime, check back for short stories. I'll be updating that website this winter.
